Kwon Chang-hoon

As per a report from French publication Mercato 365, Tottenham Hotspur are eyeing a summer move for Dijon midfielder Kwon Chang-hoon. The 23-year-old has played a key role for the Ligue 1 outfit in recent times and his promising performances have unsurprisingly alerted Mauricio Pochettino.

The report has also gone on to claim that Spurs sent a scout to monitor Chang-hoon in Dijon’s recent encounter against Lyon. Although the club lost 5-2, the midfielder put in an impressive display. He might have failed to score in that game but his tally boasts of an impressive return of 10 goals and 2 assists from this season.

Although he is an attacking midfielder by trade, Chang-hoon is rather versatile. He can be utilised in a variety of attacking positions and since he is quite young, the South Korean fits right into the mould of the ideal Tottenham target.

Over the years, Pochettino has been lauded for his attempts to develop and nurture young talent to create superstars and as he has proven time and again, our gaffer is quite good at that.

The likes of Harry Kane, Eric Dier, Christian Eriksen, Dele Alli and Heung-min Son have all flourished under Pochettino’s guidance and are now deservedly regarded as one of the best in the Premier League.

From what we have seen this season, Spurs do need midfield reinforcements. If we are to take our performances to the next level and lay our hands on silverware, an added boost of squad depth is the need of the hour.

Given our reliance on activity and creativity from the middle of the park, an attack-oriented midfielder like Chang-hoon could work wonders for us in the seasons to come.
