Corriere Dello Sport claims that Tottenham have made a bid to sign Ajax youngster Justin Kluivert. The report from the Italian outlet claims that we have already submitted a bid of €25million but the Dutch giants are haggling for a bit more.

It isn’t just us who are interested in the 19-year-old as the report claims that Liverpool and AS Roma are also looking to sign Kluivert. It seems that Roma are leading the race to sign Kluivert.

The Serie A giants have reportedly agreed to terms with the player, however, they are yet to finalise the deal with Ajax.

That should give us some room in hopes of signing the son of the legendary Patrick Kluivert. Justin is one of the most exciting players coming from the Dutch league and even helped them to the Europa League final a year ago.

Unfortunately for Kluivert, his side failed to defeat Manchester United but his performances have seen his stock rise up and that is why Ajax are looking for more.

Unlike his father, who played as a striker for Barcelona and the Dutch national side, Justin plays mostly on the left-wing but he can play on the right-wing too.

The youngster performed decently for Ajax last season as he chipped in with 10 goals in the league and assisted another 5 goals too.

It will be interesting to see just how Kluivert develops into a footballer given that he does need to move to a more challenging league to get better. Playing in the Dutch league is a good base but the youngster has to learn and grow more, and moving to Tottenham does make sense.

The club has one of the best managers in Mauricio Pochettino and we do provide youngsters with a lot of chances to perform for the first-team as long as they are ready to make the jump. Hopefully, we can sign Kluivert on the cheap and see him develop in the white of Spurs for a number of years.
