Jack Grealish

Tottenham will target Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish in the summer window as Mauricio Pochettino wants to bring the youngster to the club.

The pursuit could be boosted by Villa’s failure to return to the Premier League after losing the play-off final but the Villans will not be looking to sell the 22-year-old for less than £40million, according to the Telegraph.

Villa have faced financial issues and only just avoided going into administration after settling their issues with HMRC.

The report further goes on to suggest that Daniel Levy will be looking to sign Grealish on the cheap for a fee of £15million even if negotiations might get strained between the parties.

We aren’t the only club linked with a move for Grealish as the likes of Newcastle United, Leicester City and Manchester United are also keeping tabs on the midfielder.

A quality option available on the cheap

Pochettino would want to increase his options in midfield next season as we are unsure about the future of Mousa Dembele. Grealish could turn out to be a quality option.

We also had to deal with the issue of Harry Winks and Victor Wanyama missing a number of games due to injury, so bringing in another midfielder does make sense.

Grealish played 30 games in the Championship as he scored 3 goals and provided 6 assists and is one of the best young players in England at the moment.

The youngster might not get to start every game for Spurs but if he works under Pochettino, the 22-year-old would fulfil his potential and possibly get even better.

If we can get the player for a fee of around £15million, it would be an exceptional deal and with Levy doing the talking, that could be a possibility.
