Dele Alli is set to become the latest player to commit his future to Tottenham with a bumper new contract being offered to the Englishman according to Football.London.
Daniel Levy has been working hard to tie down our biggest assets as we signed Hugo Lloris to a brand new deal which keeps him here until 2022.
In recent weeks, Harry Kane and Mauricio Pochettino have also committed their futures to the club and Alli is the next in line and will earn around £100,000-a-week.
Alli might not have had his greatest season for Tottenham but he still is one of the most exciting players in the Premier League and will be looking to help England perform well in the World Cup.
The 22-year-old scored 14 and assisted 14 for us as we finished 3rd in the league and also gave a great account of ourselves in the Champions League.
Alli’s performances over the past two seasons have also seen him get linked with a big-money move to Spanish giants Real Madrid, however, should he sign the new deal, it should give us some sort of protection from the suitors.
While signing a new contract does not guarantee the player is ours for good, it does ensure that if a club does come in for Alli, we will get a hefty fee for the player.
Hopefully, this will be the start of a great time for us as we are cementing the base of our team pretty well.
