Dele Alli has reacted to his injury that might keep him out of the next game against Panama in the World Cup.

The Tottenham star was taken off after 80 minutes due to an injury but he had picked up the knock earlier in the game. Alli decided to carry on and reports have suggested that the 22-year-old picked up a minor thigh strain.

Alli was certainly not happy with the news of the injury and added that he would work hard to get back to full fitness.

This might come as a good news for us as the next game is against a relatively average Panama side and maybe playing someone like a Ruben Loftus-Cheek or Fabian Delph would make sense.

Alli should be rested and only be brought back when he is 100% fit, else England could lose him for the rest of the World Cup and that is a scenario no one wants.

The English midfielder didn’t really set the stage alight in the first game against Tunisia but he certainly will have a lot to say about England’s chances in the tournament once he gets back.

A win against Panama on Sunday will be enough to see us through to the next round and then the big clash comes against Belgium in our final group encounter. This is a game that Alli could take part in as we look to bring the World Cup back to England.
