Davinson Sanchez

Davinson Sanchez has revealed how the Tottenham players are keeping tabs on each other during the World Cup – they all use WhatsApp.

Sanchez would be facing Harry Kane’s England in the round of 16 on Tuesday and the Colombian was quoted by the Daily Mail as saying:

“I haven’t spoken with him but we have a WhatsApp group. We send congratulations when anyone scores.”

The Colombian also added that Kane can be the difference for the country in the World Cup and can score goals and create them for his teammates too.

The defender also added that the South American side will be focusing on working as a unit rather than hoping for one player to do well.

Of course, Sanchez also added that he will try to stop the goal machine.

“If I play against him, I’ll do my best to stop him. Anything is possible.”

The game will certainly keep Tottenham fans on the edge as a lot of our stars will be taking on the field.

Sanchez was excellent in the last match against Senegal and even though they needed a late goal, the team held on to keep the African side at bay.

The 21-year-old was also hopeful of a decent display in the next game.

“It gives you confidence when you get a result and you need confidence. We’re a team with a lot of character. Anything we achieve from here is a triumph.”

Sanchez had a great first season for us and another good performance against England will be a perfect way to continue his development.
