Tottenham face a lot of competition as they look to sign Celtic star Kieran Tierney, according to the Daily Mail. The 21-year-old left-back is being tracked by Everton, Wolverhampton Wanderers and even Bournemouth.

Marco Silva, the manager at Everton, is set to test Celtic’s resolve and is willing to bid £25million for the 21-year-old.

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers hopes to keep Tierney at Celtic Park as the youngster is a die-hard fan of the Hoops. Tierney had even spoken about becoming one of the greats by sticking to the club for the entirety of his playing career.

However, the report claims that moving to England would easily double his current wages at Celtic and the Hoops would also find it tough to say no to huge transfer fees for a player that has risen through the academy.

Tottenham do have one ace up the sleeve – Champions League football. We are already through to the group stages of the competition while Celtic would have to play a couple of qualifying rounds to get to the group stage.

Tierney did have a decent season under Rodgers as he picked up the Scottish Premiership, though the club did struggle in the Champions League group stage last time around.

The 21-year-old is one of the brightest players to come out of Scotland and if he is to improve, he must look to cross the border and play in the Premier League.

Tottenham would be a great option for him as Mauricio Pochettino does work wonders with young players and if Tierney is going to cost us just £25million, we should go all out and sign the Scotsman up.
