It was a clash of the Titans as Brazil lost 2-1 to Belgium in the second quarter-final of the World Cup.
Tottenham certainly had a decent contingent to support as Toby Alderweireld, Jan Vertonghen and Mousa Dembele were a part of the squad.
And for Spurs fans, it was a great night as Belgium picked up a hard-fought but a well-deserved win over the Samba boys.
Fernandinho opened the scoring as he put past his own keeper to gift Belgium the lead before Kevin de Bruyne lashed home a wonderful second goal. Brazil had a herculean task ahead of them and they failed to capitalize on the few opportunities they received.
Renato Augusto cut the deficit to one as he scored a header past Thibaut Courtois but Belgium held on and the Tottenham Twitter account was quick to show their love to the trio of Spurs stars in Kazan.

it blows my mind that witsel is starting over dembele….. witsel is absolutely trash. dembele would rule the midfield and never loose possession in those situations.

Well done, Jan! Historic result! Hope your luck lasts until the final (hopefully vs the England A-Team). Good luck to Mousa, Toby and Nacer too.
