Wilmar Barrios failed to conquer the English national side at the World Cup after a tense penalty shoot-out. However, the Colombian might just end up playing in England if Tottenham can seal a deal for the 24-year-old.

The Boca Juniors man has been linked with a move to North London and it would not be out of Spurs’ grasp to sign another South American after the likes of Erik Lamela, Lucas Moura, Juan Foyth and Davinson Sanchez joined the club.

Barrios does have a nasty edge to his game as he ended up headbutting Jordan Henderson in their loss to England but was lucky to only receive a yellow card.

The 24-year-old could be one of those unheralded signings that turn out to be amazing and the Tottenham fans certainly were out in full force on Twitter to share their opinion about Barrios.
