Jack Grealish has been linked with a move to Tottenham for a while but there has been no clarity about when we would be signing the 22-year-old from Aston Villa.
However, Football.London (h/t Birmingham Mail) reports that the English midfielder could be a Tottenham player before the team jets off to North America for their pre-season tour.
Grealish is expected to be sold by Villa due to their financial problems and the 22-year-old could be a decent signing for us. Mauricio Pochettino does work wonders with young players and the Villa man certainly is a youngster with a lot of potential.
We still have not signed one player in the summer transfer window yet and that might be a cause of concern for many, however, the report also shed light on an important issue and that is our foreign contingent.
Tottenham would have to sell four foreign players just to free up one spot for another foreigner coming in when it comes to the Champions League squad.
Last season Juan Foyth had to miss out and we even sent out the pair of Vincent Janssen and Georges-Kevin Nkoudou. This is one reason why we are thinking of signing British players and Grealish is the right man if we think about it.

The player does need a bit of attention from Pochettino but if our Argentine manager gets it right, we might end up having a bargain signing.
