Fenerbahce are looking for a couple of strikers before the start of the Champions League qualifiers and have tabled a loan bid with a €2m fee for Vincent Janssen, according to Fanatik (h/t Turkish Football).

The Dutch striker was on loan with the Turkish giants last season and scored 5 goals in 19 league appearances but could not do all that well, given he picked up an injury.

Janssen has struggled to find the goals since moving to Tottenham a couple of years ago but the report claims that the 24-year-old has been given the go-ahead to move to Turkey.

Fenerbahce also have Phillip Cocu, who knows about Janssen during their time in the Dutch league and the manager has already spoken to the Tottenham man and wants a reunion.

Janssen, for his part, has already told Tottenham that he wants to join Fenerbahce again. With the club desperately needing more firepower to ensure Champions League progression, the move seems to be perfect for all parties involved.

Janssen would be getting a lot of playing time at Fenerbahce and he knows the club well, so he would not have problems adjusting to the Turkish league.

The former AZ striker would also be looking to do well and prove his ability since he is fit and we would get to see what a fit and healthy Janssen can do when he is given a good number of games.

That still might be a problem as we would only have Fernando Llorente as cover for Harry Kane but sending Janssen out for playing time seems to be the right deal for now.
