Anthony Martial

Tottenham face competition from another London club for Manchester United attacker Anthony Martial as the Times (h/t football.london) reports that Chelsea are willing to move for the 22-year-old.

Bayern Munich are also interested in the former Monaco forward and want to offer him a way out of Old Trafford. However, neither club is willing to meet United’s valuation of the Frenchman, which is at €100million.

Martial’s agent had stated that the French attacker would be looking to play football elsewhere this season but nothing concrete has been made of the earlier comments.

The report from Football.london also claims that Mauricio Pochettino is an admirer of Martial and the club did try to sign the forward before he joined Manchester United from Monaco.

While playing under Pochettino would be the best option for Martial, Manchester United would be happy seeing a couple of other clubs get interested in the youngster.

Jose Mourinho would want a bidding war for the French attacker and if Chelsea and Bayern Munich get involved, it will be a tough ask for Tottenham to beat the pair.

We are yet to bring any player to the side this summer and the fans will be anxious, especially as most of our rivals have brought quality players to the side.

Martial certainly will not come on the cheap but if we can move quickly, we might be able to beat others and sign him before the transfer deadline day.
