ESPN claims Tottenham are not interested in signing top class French star

Anthony Martial

Tottenham are not looking to make a move to sign Anthony Martial and the club have not made any progress in trying to sign Jack Grealish from Aston Villa as well, according to ESPN.

Spurs have been linked with a move for Martial throughout the summer and Jose Mourinho is also keen on selling the player but not to a direct rival in the Premier League.

However, the latest report will come as a blow to Spurs fans who were expecting some sort of transfer business.  Martial’s agent had spoken about the player wanting a move away from the club and that seemed to have all but finished his career at United.

The Frenchman was allowed to leave the United’s pre-season tour to the US as he was with his partner for the birth of his second child.

Jack Grealish

The former Monaco man could have been an ideal player for Pochettino as the Argentine is known to get the best out of players and Martial does have a lot of potential to get better under our manager.

The report also claims that Spurs are delaying their transfer business as they do not want to get involved in a bidding war with other clubs and are waiting for them to complete their transfers.

There really isn’t a lot of time left for us to make our moves in the transfer market and a Premier League title challenge would be even more difficult if we do not strengthen the side ahead of the new season.
