Aston Villa value Jack Grealish at £32million and are expected to decline Tottenham’s £25m bid for the English midfielder, according to the Evening Standard.
Tottenham have been linked with a move for Grealish all summer but are not willing to meet Villa’s valuation of the 22-year-old star. The report also adds that Grealish wants to leave his boyhood club for a Champions League team.
The report claims that Tottenham could be looking to add Josh Onomah in the deal to bring Grealish. Onomah did spend last season on loan at the Championship side and will be doing the same at Villa Park this season too if things go Tottenham’s way.
Evening Standard claims that Mauricio Pochettino is fond of the English midfielder but that Grealish is not even the second choice attacking midfielder that Spurs wanted this summer. Tottenham are also reluctant to pay more than £30m for someone who won’t improve the starting XI right away.
Grealish did play in the 3-1 win over Hull City on Monday and it seems that this transfer will go down to the final hours of the window.
Tottenham could do with another midfielder in the side as Victor Wanyama is carrying a knock (h/t Sun). Mousa Dembele too has been linked (h/t Express) with a move away from the club.

Grealish might not be the finished article yet but Pochettino could work his magic with the youngster if they join hands.
