Jan Vertonghen might have given us the lead in the match against Newcastle but he needed a bit of help from goal-line technology.
The ball seemed to have crossed the line and the referee gave us the goal. Vertonghen was speaking to Spurs TV where he claimed that now he is a big fan of technology in football.
“I’m not a big fan of technology in football but now I am!”

The Belgian defender has been one of our best players since moving to the club from Ajax and has gone from strength to strength under Mauricio Pochettino.
The central defender is one of the best defenders in the Premier League too and a few fans were quick to share their appreciation for our goalscoring hero on Twitter.
Can you tell him I love him

Tottenham did get the win over Newcastle thanks to a header from Dele Alli and hopefully, we will see more goals coming in from Vertonghen in the remainder of the season too.
