Former Tottenham star raises the hype for Spurs’ clash against Man United

Berbatov left Tottenham to join Man Utd
Dimitar Berbatov

Former Tottenham striker Dimitar Berbatov has warned Spurs of a backlash from Manchester United. The Bulgarian was speaking to Betfair (h/t Football.london) where he claimed that even though Spurs have won their opening two games, Old Trafford is not an easy place to visit.

“Tottenham come into the game after two straight Premier League wins but it doesn’t matter how many games you’ve won, when you go to Old Trafford it’s always intimidating.

“Football players know this, and they respect each other. They know it doesn’t matter that United lost the game before because they still have incredible players.

“Spurs know that United have great players, United know that Spurs are a dangerous team.”

Berbatov moved to United from Tottenham and the former striker added that the Red Devils would attack us for the first 15 minutes. However, the former Tottenham star believes we can play our game if we can survive the United start.

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho

Berbatov further claimed that Jose Mourinho’s men will be up for the match and provide a reaction for the manager.

Tottenham have started the season better than United, with two wins from two. United lost their last match against Brighton and we need to be a little careful when taking them on at Old Trafford.
