Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed that 19-year-old forward Marcus Edwards would be moving to the Netherlands on loan.

The attacking midfielder has joined Eredivisie side Excelsior till the end of the season, having spent a part of the previous term on loan at Norwich City.

The starlet has played for a number of England youth teams – right from the U16 side all the way to the U20 side – and even picked up the U19 European Championship in 2017.

The 19-year-old made a single appearance for Spurs a couple of seasons ago in the League Cup. However, he should receive adequate first-team minutes with the Dutch side.

Edwards is one of the brightest players we have in our youth setup and a number of Tottenham fans wished him luck as he embarked on a new journey.
