Victor Wanyama is the latest Tottenham Hotspur player to withdraw from international duty as he is struggling with a knee injury, as per the Evening Standard.

The midfielder has been accused of unprofessionalism by Kenya’s head coach Sebastian Migne, who was quoted saying:

“Wanyama should have travelled so that our medical staff can assess his injury. We should be a bit professional in such situations.”

Wanyama hasn’t played for us this season and the report adds that Tottenham believe the Kenyan’s withdrawal from the national side was through official channels.

The Kenyan had a number of injury issues last season and missed a major chunk of our campaign. Wanyama was on the bench in our 2-1 loss at Vicarage Road over the weekend.

Another player who isn’t featuring for their national side is Hugo Lloris. The Tottenham captain has withdrawn from the France side but Spurs claimed that he might be fit for the upcoming clash against Liverpool after the international break.

Moussa Sissoko also is out with an injury and the Frenchman posted an Instagram story displaying a weird method to work on his hamstring issue. Erik Lamela is carrying a slight knock as well and only has 17 minutes of Premier League football under his belt this season.

Tottenham still have one of the best teams in the Premier League and hopefully, the players will be fit for the remainder of the season.
