Tottenham endured a nightmarish start to their Champions League campaign against Inter Milan. Spurs were leading, thanks to a goal from Christian Eriksen in the second half but they lost the tie 2-1 in the final minutes.
Mauro Icardi and Matias Vecino got the goals late in the game, marking our third loss on the spin.
To be fair, Tottenham controlled the game right up to Icardi’s incredible volley from outside the box.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side then failed to deal with a corner as Vecino headed into the net unchallenged.
It was a tough result to accept and some players didn’t have a great night. One of them was Harry Kane, as the Englishman’s barren spell continued. The striker has a couple of goals to his name but he hasn’t scored since the 3-0 win over Manchester United.
Kane has looked a little tired since winning the Golden Boot in the World Cup. The Englishman had a great chance to score against Inter but he missed the target and some Spurs fans believe he needs a break.

Myself and many others have called for Kane to have 3/4 weeks off and this has been yet another advert for that. He just looks knackered, mentally and physically, and we’re only going to compound the issue.
