Tottenham celebrate Carabao Cup win over Watford

Tottenham return to Premier League action after an exciting penalty shootout win over Watford in the Carabao Cup.

Dele Alli, Erik Lamela and Paulo Gazzaniga were the stars of the show at Stadium MK but Spurs were dealt with a major blow as Serge Aurier picked up an injury.

Tottenham had to play with 10 men for a while as we made all three substitutes. However, we should be in great spirits for the away game against Huddersfield.

Our last Premier League outing saw us beating Brighton 2-1 and here is our predicted line-up for Mauricio Pochettino’s side for Saturday.

Predicted Tottenham XI

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Manager: Mauricio Pochettino

Paulo Gazzaniga (GK)

The keeper saved a couple of penalties in the win over Watford and did a great job against Brighton too. Gazzaniga should keep his spot in the team for Saturday.

Kieran Trippier (RB)

Aurier’s injury should propel Trippier to start and hopefully, the Englishman will work wonders against the Terriers.

Toby Alderweireld (CB)

Alderweireld is one of the best defenders in the world and should keep his place from the midweek clash.

Jan Vertonghen (CB)

Pochettino should replace Davinson Sanchez with Vertonghen, as the Belgian forms a great partnership with Alderweirled at the back.

Danny Rose (LB)

Ben Davies hasn’t looked great this season and we should see Rose starting as our left-back on Saturday.

Eric Dier (CM)

Dier didn’t play a minute in our win over Watford but the Englishman should return to the side.

Mousa Dembele (CM)

The Belgian came on for half an hour against the Hornets in midweek and should start against the Terriers on Saturday.

Son Heung-min (LAM)

Son played a few minutes in the Carabao Cup but should start for us as we must aim to pick up three points at John Smith’s stadium.

Dele Alli (AM)

The former MK Dons man was the captain for the game against Watford and Alli must aim to carry his goalscoring form into the next clash too.

Erik Lamela (RAM)

Lamela was amongst the goals against Watford and the Argentine has to start for Spurs on Saturday.

Harry Kane (ST)
