Tottenham superstar set to leave on a free at the end of the season

Mousa Dembele

Tottenham midfielder Mousa Dembele will move at the end of the season on a free, according to the Sun.

The Belgian is currently out with an injury as we head into the international break. The 31-year-old had started five Premier League games for us but will not be signing a new contract to extend his stay, according to the report.

A number of Chinese clubs are interested in the Belgian and a move to the Middle East isn’t being ruled out, as per the report.

Dembele struggled for fitness last season but made the squad for the World Cup. The Belgians finished third in the competition with the midfielder playing a huge role in their run.

Jan Vertonghen of Tottenham

The report added that Inter Milan wanted to sign the 31-year-old in the summer. However, they were not willing to meet Tottenham’s asking price of £26million (h/t Sun).

The Italian giants were unable to finalise personal terms with the player too, as per the report, and Dembele remained a Tottenham player this season.

The 31-year-old has been one of the best midfielders for Tottenham in recent years but injuries have cut short his playing time.

Tottenham didn’t bring in any fresh faces this season and Dembele might have a few more games for us before he can leave the club on a free.
