Mauricio Pochettino believes interest from Real Madrid to sign the Argentine as their new manager is a good thing for Tottenham.
The former Espanyol and Southampton manager provided a bizarre analogy about being handsome and was quoted by the Mirror as saying:
“It is like our girlfriend or wife. We are so handsome, and you are walking down Regent Street holding hands, and she is so proud about you because another woman is looking at you. Your wife, rather than be worried, is happy to be with you, in love with you.
“In the opposite way, if no-one looks at you, your wife says, ‘Maybe it is better with another guy!’”
The Argentine is one of the best managers in the world, and it should come as a no surprise that the top clubs are looking to sign him.
The report claims that Pochettino is one of the favourites to take up the spot in Madrid. The La Liga giants sacked Julen Lopetegui after their 5-1 hammering from Barcelona and have named Santi Solari as their interim manager.
Pochettino does come up with weird analogies in his interviews, but he isn’t wrong with this one. The more interest he gains from the top clubs, the more attractive our side will be for other players.

Hopefully, this doesn’t turn Poch’s head around and he sticks to Tottenham for a number of years. We are building something special at the club, and Pochettino is one of the major keys to this project.
