Chelsea midfielder Mateo Kovacic is a doubt for the weekend’s London derby against Tottenham at Wembley, according to the Sun.

The Croatian picked up a muscular injury during the international break, as per the report, and didn’t feature in the 2-1 loss to England.

ESPN’s Liam Twomey tweeted about the player’s injury prior to the England game.

Chelsea are yet to taste defeat this season in any competition but sit four points behind Manchester City who lead the Premier League.

Spurs are just one point behind the Blues, and a win would put us back in the running for the title. We also have a few injury issues with Mousa Dembele, Jan Vertonghen and even Danny Rose out for a while.

Tottenham need to be at their best if we are to beat Maurizio Sarri’s side and the game should be an exciting one as both teams play great football.

There is the added headache of the midweek Champions League game against Inter Milan for Tottenham, and we need to win against the Serie A side too.

Our Champions League hopes depend on a win against Inter, and hopefully, Chelsea have a few more fitness concerns before and make the tie easy for us on Saturday.
