Leandro Trossard

Tottenham and Arsenal have been linked with a move for Leandro Trossard in recent weeks (h/t Daily Star), however, it seems Spurs will not pursue the striker.

The 23-year-old’s agent was speaking to Sporza (h/t Daily Star) and added Trossard wants to leave Genk.

“It is indeed very clear that Leandro continued to play football at Genk for a year,

“First and foremost because his development is not yet complete, secondly because he is a Genkie from top to toe, but mainly because he is the current team has the feeling to grab a prize.

“Leandro wants to leave Genk through the big gate.”

The agent added that he spoke with representatives from the two London clubs

“I contacted representatives from Arsenal and Tottenham.

“At Tottenham, nobody has wanted to confirm that Trossard is an option.

“But Arsenal does.”

Vincent Janssen of Tottenham

The 23-year-old Belgian striker has been in great form for Genk this season and has 11 goals from 19 games.

It is interesting that the agent tried to contact Spurs and we could do with another attacker in the side. Tottenham haven’t found quality cover for Harry Kane with Vincent Janssen and Fernando Llorente struggling to get within the goals.

Trossard could have been a decent option for us and our winter window activity is something to keep an eye on.

Spurs have had their injury problems this season, and we need to bring in some players to keep the team fresh for the remainder of the campaign.
