Tottenham players celebrate

It all comes down to the final Champions League group game for Tottenham. Things were never going to be easy in a group featuring Inter Milan and Barcelona, and well, we now have to defeat the Catalans to qualify for the knockout round.

Barcelona have already made it into the next round and could take their foot off the gas but we cannot afford to go into this game thinking it will be easy.

Mauricio Pochettino rested Harry Kane and Christian Eriksen in our 2-0 win over Leicester City, and here is our predicted line-up for the game at the Nou Camp.

Predicted Tottenham XI

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Manager: Mauricio Pochettino

Hugo Lloris (GK)

Lloris has been better in recent games for Tottenham, and the captain has to lead by example on Tuesday.

Kyle Walker-Peters of Tottenham

Kyle Walker-Peters (RB)

Pochettino hinted after the Leicester game that some of our youngsters could play for the first-team and with Serge Aurier and Kieran Trippier carrying knocks, we could see Walker-Peters start against Barcelona.

Jan Vertonghen (CB)

No surprises at the back as Vertonghen is to partner Toby Alderweireld in the heart of the defence.

Toby Alderweireld (CB)

The Belgian pair have to be at their best on Tuesday, even if we play a second-string Barcelona side.

Danny Rose (LB)

One change we should make is giving Danny Rose the start ahead of Ben Davies as he didn’t play against the Foxes.

Dele Alli Tottenham

Moussa Sissoko (CM)

Sissoko has been excellent for Tottenham in recent weeks and should start for us in midfield.

Eric Dier (CM)

Dier needs to have the game of his life trying to control the Barcelona midfield, and hopefully, the Englishman prevails.

Son Heung-min (LAM)

The South Korean was brilliant in our win over the Foxes and must start on Tuesday.

Dele Alli (CAM)

Similar to Son, Alli was great in the recent win over Leicester and we need the Englishman to play out of his skin in midweek.

Christian Eriksen (RAM)

The Dane didn’t start against the Foxes and has to be at his creative best on Tuesday.

Harry Kane (ST)

Kane has to be at his best, there are no two ways about it. Barcelona might have already qualified for the next round but the Englishman has to create problems for the Catalans.
