Tottenham are one of several Premier League clubs keeping tabs on Bristol City defender Lloyd Kelly, according to the Mirror.

The English defender has been impressive for City in the Championship and is comfortable playing as a full-back or as a central defender.

The 20-year-old has already trained with the senior England side under Gareth Southgate, as per the report. He is also being tracked by other Premier League clubs, namely Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United (h/t Mirror).

The youngster has broken into the City first-team, and also starred in the recent win over Birmingham City.

The report adds that Tottenham could make a bid for the Englishman in the winter window, though the clubs are also planning on swooping for the highly rated defender.

Kelly would certainly do well under our manager as Mauricio Pochettino has a history of developing young talent into world-beaters.

We have seen Juan Foyth and Davinson Sanchez excel under the boss in recent years. Getting the Bristol man would mean adding more young talent to the system, which is always encouraging.

Spurs didn’t spend any money on signings in the summer window, but we have to change things when the January transfer window starts.

We currently sit third in the Premier League and adding the right players to the team could push us further up the table.
