Tottenham don’t like to make things easy for their fans, and the latest showing was in the Champions League tie against Barcelona.
We had to defeat the Catalans to ensure a place in the next stage of the competition but conceded early via Ousmane Dembele.
On the other side, Inter needed to better our result as they faced PSV Eindhoven, and they were losing thanks to an early Hirving Lozano goal.
Things took a drastic turn with Mauro Icardi equalising in the second half for Inter before Lucas Moura swept home a cross from Harry Kane in the 85th minute.
Both games ended 1-1, which meant we made it into the knockout round, and Moura was certainly pleased with the result.

Harry Kane was also pleased with the result and was awaiting the draw for the next round.

The Belgian pairing of Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld did enough to ensure we don’t concede a number of goals, and the pair were delighted at our progress into the next stage.

Moussa Sissoko was another player that put in a quality shift at the Nou Camp, but his tweet had a slight mistake which Christian Eriksen was not going to let go.

Kyle Walker-Peters made the mistake which cost us the goal, but the youngster did a decent job in a tough atmosphere, and her certainly was happy that Spurs qualified.

Erik Lamela and Fernando Llorente were subbed into the game to change things up, and the pair had their say about the result.
Through to the last 16 ! Come on you spurs 💪💪💪💪

Harry Winks had a short message to share after the game, and we even got a tweet from Mousa Dembele who is out with an injury.

Tottenham can seal transfer of 22-year-old summer target by spending £63m
Spurs transfer news: Tottenham can seal Tanguy Ndombele signing for £63m
The report adds that Spurs and Lyon are in negotiations over the 22-
Ndombele was one of the star performers for Lyon last season and is a regular in the France national team. The Frenchman cost Lyon just £7m (h/t Sky Sports) last season and they stand to make a huge profit should they sell him this summer.
Ndombele also spoke about Tottenham being a big club recently and was happy being linked with us (h/t Sky Sports):
“It’s true that Tottenham are a great team – a big club. They finished fourth in their league, they were finalists in the Champions League.
“They are a big club like many others. Which player would not be interested in a big club?”
The report adds that Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United and Juventus are interested in the 22-year-old.
One of Pochettino’s important signings
The 22-year-old would be a great partner to Harry Winks in the Spurs midfield and would provide a lot of protection to our back-four too.

Ndombele is currently away on holiday, and hopefully, we can finalise this signing before pre-season.

Spurs opinion: How Tottenham could line up next season if Pochettino gets his targets
The Argentine worked his magic by taking us to the Champions League final and finishing in the top four with a team that had no investment in two transfer windows.
The team had to deal with several injuries and the players came tired from a draining World Cup too.
Tottenham’s finances will be affected by repayment of dues regarding the new stadium (h/t Guardian), but Mauricio Pochettino has handed a list of stars that he wants at the club.
The Guardian reports that Tanguy Ndombele, Donny van de Beek, Nicolo Zaniolo and Ryan Sessegnon are some of the players on the list. Giovani Lo Celso of Real Betis has also been linked with us in recent weeks (h/t Sun).
Although we should see some big names coming in, the Guardian claims that a few players could leave the club too. Eriksen is the big worry ahead of the season as the Dane has openly stated that he wants a new challenge.
Toby Alderweireld has been linked with an exit (h/t Sun), however, the Belgian claimed he has a contract with us and is concentrating on the season ahead.
Tottenham a different side in the new season
There isn’t a surety that every player linked with Spurs will sign for us in the coming campaign. However, we could have a completely different side to what we have seen for well over a year now.
Eriksen could be one of the big losses for the club but Giovani Lo Celso can play as the central attacking midfielder for us. The Argentine has been excellent for Betis and is now participating in the Copa America.
The midfield really needs some signings after Mousa Dembele was allowed to leave in January, and several players picked up injuries. Harry Winks should be a starter but one of the possible new boys, Ndombele, should start alongside the Englishman.
The Lyon midfielder is a powerhouse and is exactly the kind of player we need. Victor Wanyama was out injured for a long time while Eric Dier was wildly inconsistent last season.
The attack doesn’t change much for us as Dele Alli and Son Heung-min should support Harry Kane. Zaniolo could be a decent signing but he might be on the bench more often than not.
Spurs could do with another striker acting as cover for Kane, however, Lucas Moura and Son have proved that they can play in that position should the Englishman be out.
Changes in the defence
Alderweireld’s departure would be a huge blow but we can see Davinson Sanchez slot into the team alongside Jan Vertonghen.
The left-back position will be key as Pochettino could swap Danny Rose with Ryan Sessegnon (h/t
Sessegnon could play a few games as a left-back but he has been most impressive in the attack.
Kieran Trippier is also being linked with a move away from Spurs (h/t Calciomercato) and that could see Serge Aurier replace the Englishman.
Ideally, we should try and sign another quality right-back in case Trippier leaves, but Manchester United have already bid for Aaron Wan-Bissaka of Crystal Palace (h/t Sun).
There is no replacing Hugo Lloris at the moment, and the Spurs captain should lead the line-up next season.
It would be incredible if we could spend without a worry in the summer, but we have to be smart with our acquisitions too.

Signing too many players in one summer could mess our team dynamic. The target has to be winning a trophy next season and hopefully, some new signings can help Pochettino break that duck here.
“I’ve seen scouts from Tottenham” – Dutch expert confirms Spurs scouted 22-year-old Euro star this season
Spurs transfer news: Dutch expert confirms Tottenham scouted Donny van de Beek
Dutch football expert Marcel van der Kraan believes Donny van de Beek is keen on a move to the Premier League.
The 22-year-old was impressive for Ajax last season as they won the Eredivisie title and reached the semi-finals of the Champions League.
Van de Beek scored some crucial goals for the Dutch giants, such as the winner against Tottenham in the first leg of the semi-final.
“I’ve seen scouts from Tottenham, Man Utd, Everton, Liverpool, Newcastle all at the Amsterdam ArenA looking at him.”
Van Der Kraan added that the Ajax star was watched several times, and would be the ideal back-up for Premier League teams.
“He’s an ideal player for the Premier League, he’s got the skills like most Ajax players, he’s got a big tank, he can run all day.
“But all these clubs have a priority list and van de Beek seems the perfect back-up for the big clubs.”
Van de Beek wants Premier League action
Van der Kraan claimed that the midfielder has the best chance of sealing a move from Ajax, and believed the Premier League might interest him:
“I think he’s keen for the Premier League, more than the German or Italian leagues.”

“I was being linked with Tottenham” – £60m England star responds to rumours about his future
Spurs transfer news: James Maddison isn’t fazed by rumours of him leaving Leicester City
Leicester City star James Maddison isn’t being distracted by transfer talk after a great season. The England star swapped Norwich for Leicester at the start of the campaign and scored seven goals in the Premier League.
“No, you have just got to ignore that and take it all in your stride. As a 17 year-old boy I’d started five games for Coventry and saw on my phone that I was being linked with Tottenham and Liverpool.
“With transfer talk you need to take it as a compliment that people are even talking about you, it won’t distract me.”
Maddison is participating in the U21 Euros and is one of the stars to keep an eye on.
Midfielder in no rush to leave Leicester
Jacob Steinberg of the Guardian tweeted regarding Maddison a few days ago and claimed that the English star is in no rush to leave.
The journalist added that Tottenham are interested in the midfielder, however, Liverpool, Manch0ester United and Manchester City are also keeping track of the 22-year-old.
Steinberg claimed that the Foxes could finish above United and Maddison has to choose the right club for his future.

Maddison made the transition from the Championship to the Premier League without breaking a sweat, and it will be interesting to see when he takes the step away from Leicester.
