AS Roma have joined the race to sign Tottenham target Sander Berge, according to Corriere Dello Sport (h/t Mirror).
The 20-year-old Norwegian has been impressive for Genk this season, and we had earlier reported that Fulham are also keeping tabs on the midfielder.
The earlier report claimed that the player could move for a fee of £15million, and has attracted the attention of several clubs across Europe.
The midfielder has helped his team to the top of the Belgian league, and he could be a cheap signing that adds quality to our side.
Tottenham need to freshen up the squad once the January window opens, and we have seen our side being stretched due to several injuries to first-teamers.
Christian Eriksen and Mousa Dembele are just a couple of midfielders that have had their injury concerns this season, and Berge could be used in rotation by Mauricio Pochettino.
The Argentine has done well with limited means this season and has seen us qualify from the Champions League group after a 1-1 draw against Barcelona.
Additional interest in Berge might hike his price but if we move quickly, we could wrap up a deal for the 20-year-old.
