Ed Woodward wants to make Mauricio Pochettino the long-term manager at Manchester United, but the Express claims that could change if Ole Gunnar Solskjaer does two things at Old Trafford.
The former Manchester United striker has been appointed as the manager until the end of the season and has led the side to two wins from two games.
The two things that need to be done are – reach the top four come the end of the season and get the best out of Paul Pogba.
The report adds that Solskjaer is open to becoming the permanent manager at Man United and hopefully, he achieves the two targets so that they leave Pochettino alone.
The Argentine has been brilliant for us from the first day and we need to keep hold of him for as long as possible.
United sit eight points outside the top four but Pogba was top class in their 3-1 win over Huddersfield. The Frenchman scored a brace and United look much better than what they did under Mourinho.
