Tottenham made a few changes to the starting line-up against Wolverhampton Wanderers and it did not pay off as we lost ground in the chase for the Premier League.
Spurs were coming off a couple of quality results against Everton and Bournemouth but Wolves were miles better than us in the second half as some of our players struggled.
Harry Winks had a poor game but Kieran Trippier was possibly the worst player on the pitch. The Englishman was restored to the starting XI in place of Kyle Walker-Peters, and he was responsible for the third goal we conceded.
Harry Kane gave us a bright start but Wolves scored three goals in 15 second-half minutes to put the result beyond doubt.
Trippier had a great World Cup but has struggled with injuries for Spurs. His form has dipped since the summer, and it was a surprise that the Englishman didn’t do well on Saturday. Serge Aurier has recently returned to training, and there were some calls from the fans for Trippier to be sold.
Spurs didn’t spend in the summer and that is coming back to bite the team as the second half of the season commences. Tottenham need to take a good look at themselves as we look to challenge for the title, and several fans weren’t happy with Trippier’s performance.

I think Poch can, and will, get better for sure.
But cases like Trippier and Davies… I don’t think they can go further. I think they’ve reached their peak:

I hate to say it because it’s been said enough but Trippier was just so bad today. We really should have sold him after the WC, his stock was the highest it would ever be and we all knew he wouldn’t reach that height again.
