Bet Victor (h/t Football.london) have made Tottenham favourites to sign Manchester United defender Eric Bailly this month.
The Ivorian has struggled to perform at Old Trafford and his latest outing saw him get a red card against Bournemouth.
The report claims that Spurs are 4/1 to sign the 24-year-old centre-back, who was out of favour under former manager Jose Mourinho.
Bailly only has eight starts to his name this season and hasn’t impressed for the Red Devils. The report claims that Toby Alderweireld could leave in the summer and Spurs would want a replacement for the Belgian star.
Tottenham have four quality centre-backs at the moment with Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld possibly our best pair.
Davinson Sanchez has been great since his move from Ajax while Juan Foyth has slowly impressed since making his Premier League debut for the side this season.
Bailly has been erratic under Mourinho but there is a quality defender in him. It would be a decent move to sign the Ivorian on the cheap as Mauricio Pochettino could make the centre-back better.
Tottenham didn’t add fresh faces in the summer but that has to change as we look to ensure a top-four finish or even more.
Injuries have played a huge part in our season with several key players missing chunks of the campaign.
