Fernando Llorente produced a brilliant display for Tottenham as we beat Tranmere 7-0 in the FA Cup third round.
The Spaniard has found starts hard to come this season with his only other one being in the Carabao Cup.
The 33-year-old hasn’t really hit the heights since his move from Swansea City but ensured our progress into the next round of the FA Cup took place without any major problems.
The Spaniard had to wait a bit for his first goal, which came in the 48th minute, but after that, the floodgates opened for Tottenham.
Serge Aurier opened the scoring in the first half and the Ivorian scored our third in the 55th minute. Son Heung-min got into the act soon after, and Llorente wrapped up his hat-trick with two strikes in two minutes.
There was even time for Harry Kane to replace Llorente and score a goal late on. This was Llorente’s second hat-trick for Spurs, and both have come in the FA Cup against lower league sides.
The 33-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season, and it will be interesting to see what happens with regards to his future.
Llorente is a decent striker to have in the team but for some reason, things haven’t worked out for the Spaniard at Spurs.
Several Spurs were impressed by the performance and wanted him to play more games for us this season.
You better keep him and give him more chances to play 🙄

Seeing @llorentefer19 with the younger players after the game shows how valuable he is around the team.
