Mauricio Pochettino will not jump at the prospect of joining Manchester United if offered the job, according to the Times (h/t Metro).

The report claims that the Tottenham manager is the first-choice to replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at United in the summer after the club sacked Jose Mourinho.

Pochettino, however, is said to be “angered” and “irritated” from rumours linking him to the top job at United and how he would just walk away from his project at Tottenham, as per the report.

The Argentine is one of the most coveted managers in football after transforming the fortunes of Spurs since joining from Southampton.

Spurs are regulars in the Champions League and have been involved in a couple of Premier League title races too.

The report adds that the decision to switch clubs is not only for Pochettino to make, as he would consult his coaching staff and family too.

There are further complications regarding the move as Pochettino’s sons employed at Spurs. Sebastian is a sports scientist at the club while Maurizio plays for the academy.

Pochettino is happy and settled at Spurs, as per the report, despite the club not spending money in the previous transfer window.

The Argentine has worked extremely well with a limited budget at the club and has helped the development of several players in recent years.

United might have a bigger transfer kitty that we do, but the project under Poch is starting to show results.

All we need is a trophy under the Argentine, and we have a great chance of doing that this season. Spurs defeated Chelsea in the first leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final and also progressed to the fourth round of the FA Cup.
