Tottenham are in talks with Barcelona over a deal for Brazilian winger Malcom, according to Sport (h/t Mirror).

The 21-year-old hasn’t made a huge mark at the Catalans since his move from Bordeaux in the summer, and the report claims that the La Liga leaders are looking to let go of the attacker.

The report adds that Tottenham are in negotiations to sign the attacker on loan in January with a compulsory option to make the deal permanent in the summer.

Tottenham are in need of signing some attackers in the winter window as Harry Kane is out for a couple of months with an ankle injury.

Spurs are further hit by the loss of Son Heung-min as the South Korean is away on Asian Cup duty in the United Arab Emirates.

Tottenham didn’t sign any players in the summer window but have done well this season. Our loss against United kept us in third in the Premier League, but we now sit nine points behind the leaders Liverpool.

Malcom has mostly played as a substitute for Barcelona and has just one goal to his name which came in the Champions League.

The 21-year-old can play across the front-line, and it will be interesting to see our moves in the winter window.

Tottenham signed Lucas Moura from PSG in the earlier January window, and the Brazilian took his time before getting accustomed to the Premier League.

Spurs cannot afford to lose any more ground on Liverpool and Manchester City, and hopefully, we get the right man at the club soon.
