Tottenham have been given permission to increase the capacity of their home games at Wembley, according to the BBC.

Spurs have played all of their home games this season at Wembley, bar one Carabao Cup tie, as the new stadium is yet to be completed.

Our new home was to be opened against Liverpool in September 2018 but there have been several delays. Tottenham are to play at Wembley till March, and the report claims that Brent Council has agreed to increased the capacity for five domestic games to 62,000.

The report further adds that any additional Champions League games would hold the full 90,000 capacity at the ground. However, the home games against Watford, Newcastle United and Leicester City will only have a capacity of 50,000.

This would come as some good news since we can include more supporters into the ground, and it will be interesting to see how long we have to play at the venue.

Tottenham have done well without a “home” for a couple of years, and hopefully, we can pick up some important wins in the coming months.

We will need the extra support for the remainder of the campaign with Harry Kane being ruled out for a couple of months due to injury.

Our next game is against Fulham at the weekend, and then we have some tough ties against Arsenal and Chelsea in the Premier League in March.
