Christian Eriksen is out of contract in 2020 and AS (h/t Mirror) claims that two Premier League clubs have joined the race for the talented Dane.
The 26-year-old has been excellent for Tottenham since he joined from Ajax, and the report adds that Real Madrid are seriously considering a bid for the playmaker.
However, they expect to face a lot of competition from the two Premier League clubs, as per the report, and sources have told Eriksen that there is a lot of interest from some of Europe’s biggest clubs.
The Dane has helped us to a great league campaign so far, but we are still nine points behind Liverpool prior to this weekend’s fixtures.
Eriksen needs to remain in the side and losing him would be a huge problem in replacing him. The report adds that Tottenham are lining up a move for Piotr Zielinski.
The Napoli star has been brilliant for the Serie A side after joining them from Udinese, but the 24-year-old is not on the same creative level as Eriksen.
Mauricio Pochettino recently admitted that the Dane has the right to decide on his future, and it will be interesting to see if we can extend his stay at Tottenham for a little longer.
Selling Eriksen would be a big blow to the side, but if he doesn’t sign a new deal letting him leave in the summer is better than him joining another club on a free.

Of course, the worst outcome is the Dane joining another Premier League side, and hopefully, that does not happen.
