Christian Eriksen

Spanish football expert Guillem Balague claims Real Madrid are targetting Paris Saint-Germain pair Kylian Mbappe and Neymar.

The La Liga expert believes Madrid will move for Christian Eriksen and Eden Hazard if they fail to sign any one of the PSG stars.

Neymar only joined PSG from Barcelona in 2017, while Mbappe joined the Parisian side for a huge fee from Monaco. The pair has been fantastic for the club and Real’s interest in them is great news for Spurs.

Balague was speaking on the Guillem Balague Transfer Show (h/t Daily Star) where he claimed that the Madrid giants have their eyes on the Tottenham and Chelsea stars.

“Christian Eriksen, who is not renewing his contract with Spurs, is somebody that Real Madrid identify as a potential future [Luka] Modric and, yes, they will go to Spurs and see if they can convince Daniel Levy.”

Balague claimed that the Premier League pair would be two of the biggest summer transfers, but added that Real were not going all guns blazing for the pair as they hope to convince Mbappe and Neymar to join.

“The reason why they’re not going full guns into this is because they’re still hoping that they can convince either Mbappe or Neymar to go to Real Madrid.”

Real have struggled this season and selling Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus has not worked in their favour. The Madrid giants trail Barcelona by 10 points after 21 games this season and are in dire need of attacking quality.

Los Galacticos have scored just 34 times in 21 games while they have conceded 26 in the league. Hopefully, Real can sign one of the PSG stars and we can keep hold of one of the best players in the league.

Eriksen is next to irreplaceable, and the next step has to be a contract extension for the 26-year-old Dane.
