Mauricio Pochettino revealed that he celebrated the winner from Fernando Llorente in the game against Watford. The Spaniard has taken the place of Harry Kane as our striker due to the Englishman’s injury and has done a decent job with a couple of important goals.

Llorente hasn’t always started the game regularly under Pochettino but has always put in a shift when playing for Tottenham.

Pochettino was speaking after the game, claiming that he celebrated the goal, and was happy for the Spaniard too (h/t Independent):

“I am so happy because Fernando worked so hard, working the last four games with Harry Kane out, he’s working so hard for the team, to help the team to win three points today is a massive thing.”

The manager added that it is difficult to get games when someone like Kane is in the team, however, he praised Llorente’s professionalism.

“Always you need time. But in all this time he’s been a fantastic professional and always was pushing and helping the team.”

The Spaniard wasn’t great in the win over the Hornets, however, he came up with the most important moment in the game. Kane won’t return to the side before March, and we have to count on Llorente doing the job up top. Spurs had more good news with Son Heung-min returning from the Asian Cup and scoring in the win over Watford.

Our next clash is against Newcastle, and it will be interesting to see if the Spaniard comes up with a goal on Saturday.
