Harry Winks has been incredible for Tottenham this season and seems to be one of the first names on the starting XI.
The 23-year-old has 22 Premier League and six Champions League appearances to his name this season. The Englishman even came up with the winner against Fulham a couple of weeks ago.
Playing several games back-to-back takes a toll on the body, however, Winks claimed that he was blocking out the pain (h/t Evening Standard):
“Yeah, I have niggles in my ankle, which I’m managing to play with. I have managed to somehow put that to the back of my mind. I try not worry or overthink it too much.”
The English midfielder added that he had some targets this season, and one of them was to stay fit. The sale of Mousa Dembele and the injury problems to Victor Wanyama and Eric Dier have opened the door for Winks to play more and he certainly has taken his chances.
The 23-year-old has great composure in the midfield and keeps the team ticking along. However, there was one part of his game that needs improvement – finishing.
The midfielder has come leaps and bounds in recent seasons under Mauricio Pochettino, and with games under his belt, he seems to be getting better. Spurs have a chance of lifting the title this season as we have to face Liverpool and Manchester City in the coming weeks.

The midfielder added that Spurs needed to win those two games. If we play as we have in recent weeks, there could be some late winners on the cards.
