Tottenham keeping an eye on impressive English keeper from Man United

Tottenham are one of several clubs interested in on-loan Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson, according to ESPN (h/t Daily Mail).

The 21-year-old has been exceptional for Sheffield United this season as they are in with a chance of automatic promotion to the Premier League. The report adds that Arsenal are also interested in the English keeper while Bayern Munich and Juventus are keeping tabs too.

The English keeper signed a new two-year deal with United in the summer, and the Red Devils can extend that by another year. The report adds that the club do not want to lose the 21-year-old as they see him as a future replacement for David de Gea.

Henderson has a long way to go before he reaches De Gea’s level, and Tottenham have a quality keeper in Paulo Gazzaniga in the team.

The Argentine could be the replacement for Hugo Lloris whenever the captain decides to hang up the gloves. The 26-year-old has impressed this season when called upon and looks set for more game time in the coming months.

Tottenham could do with more home-grown players in the squad, and it will be interesting to see what United’s plans are for the 21-year-old.
