Latest Tottenham news: Ben Davies out of clash against Borussia Dortmund
Tottenham defender Ben Davies is out of the clash against Borussia Dortmund, according to ESPN journalist Ben Pearce.
The Welsh defender did not play in the 3-1 victory over Leicester City. The last time he put on a Spurs jersey was in the Carabao Cup loss at the hands of Chelsea. The journalist tweeted that Davies has begun training on his own and it will take time before he gets fully fit.
This would have been a huge problem for us as Danny Rose is not in great form. The Englishman isn’t the best when it comes to defensive duties. However, in the attacking third, he will be a threat to the German giants.
Rose could be playing on fumes given that he has played a lot in recent weeks, and hopefully he is ready for the challenge on Wednesday.
Dortmund have their own injury problems
The Germans don’t have it any easy with injuries as several players, including star man Marco Reus, are ruled out of this clash. This should give us the advantage ahead of the first leg on Wednesday.
Lucien Favre has done a fantastic job, proven in the Bundesliga. However, Tottenham should come into the tie with a lot of confidence given our recent wins. We would have been favourites for the first leg if Harry Kane would have been fit.

The striker and Dele Alli are continuing their rehab, and it will be interesting to see if either of them will be fit enough for the second leg.
