Latest Tottenham news: Four Borussia Dortmund stars to miss Tottenham tie
Tottenham have been handed a major boost ahead of their Champions League tie against Borussia Dortmund, as the Germans confirmed that four of their players will miss tomorrow’s game at Wembley.
A tweet from the club stated that Leonardo Balerdi is a part of the side that made it to London, while superstar Marcus Reus is out with a thigh injury.
It further adds that Paco Alcacer has a shoulder problem, while Lukasz Piszczek has a foot problem. Julian Weigl is suffering from the flu.
The Bundesliga leaders haven’t been great in recent games, and these injury concerns will be a huge boost to Tottenham ahead of the game.
Dortmund are there for the taking
Missing out on four key players is a huge problem for the Germans, and Spurs should take advantage of this. This is a two-legged affair and away goals could be crucial, so we have to be careful and not allow them to get a goal.
We are coming into this game with a lot of confidence given our late wins in the recent Premier League games. However, we cannot be as open as we were in the 3-1 victory over Leicester City. Even without Alcacer or Reus, Dortmund are a threat to any defence in the world, and we have to keep things tight at the back.
