Latest Tottenham news: Hugo Lloris wants fans to get behind the team against Borussia Dortmund

Hugo Lloris was one of the stars in our 3-1 win over Leicester City. The Frenchman made two crucial saves – one from a penalty of Jamie Vardy. The World Cup winner wants the team to improve ahead of their Champions League clash against Borussia Dortmund.

He also wants the supporters to push the team on Wednesday (h/t Sun):

“We need to obviously improve the team performance, compared to today, and we need the stadium to push, to help us.

“On some days, like today it’s difficult to deal with Wembley. But hopefully in this big game we’ll receive this help from the crowd.”

A tough test again for Spurs

Leicester weren’t easy opponents, and we were slightly fortunate to come out with all three points. Harvey Barnes had a couple of quality chances to score for the Foxes, but Lloris was in outstanding form.

Similarly, Dortmund cannot be taken lightly despite their recent stuttering form. The Bundesliga leaders have conceded three goals in each of their previous two games and will be without Marco Reus.

However, we got the better of the Germans in last season’s Champions League. We played them in the group stage and won both games.

This will be a different test though, given it is the knockout stage. Hopefully, we come out on top and progress into the quarter-finals of this prestigious competition.
