Latest Tottenham news: New Tottenham stadium barely has any room for corners

The Sun shared pictures of the new Tottenham stadium and claimed that there is barely any space for players to take up corners.

The report adds that only a foot of the pitch is available at the corners before a slight slope towards the advertising hoardings.

Tottenham were expected to move into their new stadium in September, but the good news is that we will host two test events in March before playing our first game in April.

The two events will feature a youth game and a legends tie. Hopefully, they take place without any problems.

Corners aren’t much of a problem

The report also quoted a Tottenham source speaking about the apparent pitch problem but the spokesperson claimed this was not an issue:

“As you would expect, all aspects have been tested and this is not an issue.”

Tottenham could face Brighton or Crystal Palace as the first opponents in the new ground. It all depends on Brighton’s progress in the FA Cup against Millwall.

Spurs haven’t been in great form recently, with just one point from their last four Premier League games, however, things have been better in the Champions League.

Mauricio Pochettino’s men progressed into the quarter-finals of the competition with a 1-0 win over Borussia Dortmund in the midweek and could play one leg of the quarter-final at the new stadium.
