Spurs news: Tottenham provided injury boosts as they prepare for Liverpool game

Harry Winks and Kieran Trippier were two players that did not travel with the Tottenham squad for the break in Barcelona.

The team didn’t have a game in the previous weekend and took up some warm-weather training. The pair of Englishmen, however, remained at Tottenham to continue their rehab.

Football.london reports that they are expected to return to the team for their clash against Liverpool on 31 March.

Winks wasn’t selected for the England side during the international break while Trippier made it for the clashes against the Czech Republic and Montenegro.

No major concerns regarding Toby and Serge

The report provided an update on Toby Alderweireld and Serge Aureir. The pair did not play in the 2-1 loss to Southampton a week ago, and the report claims that step was taken for injury “preventative measures”.

Tottenham would need their full-strength side for the remainder of the season as they are involved in the top four fight.

Our trip to Anfield won’t be easy given the form of the Premier League leaders. However, we are fortunate to have Harry Kane and Dele Alli back from injuries too.

The pair are with the Three Lions squad for the upcoming international games. Hopefully, all the Spurs players return without any injuries as we also have a huge Champions League quarter-final clash against Manchester City coming up.
