Spurs news: Harry Kane scores for England with Hugo Lloris leading France to a huge win

It was great news for two captains as Harry Kane’s England and Hugo Lloris’ France picked up huge wins in their Euro 2020 qualifying campaigns.

England played the Czech Republic and won the game 5-0, thanks to a hat-trick from Raheem Sterling. Kane scored a penalty which was won by the Manchester City star, and an own-goal wrapped up things for the Three Lions.

There was one downside though, as Eric Dier picking up an injury. The Tottenham midfielder had to be replaced in the first half and will not feature against Montenegro.

Kane wasn’t the only captain to come out with an impressive win. Lloris captained the 2018 World Cup winners as they made light work of Moldova.

The French side raced to a 4-0 lead, thanks to goals from Antoine Griezmann, Raphael Varane, Olivier Giroud and Kylian Mbappe before Vladimir Ambros pulled one back for the hosts.

Salomon Rondon and Jhon Murillo gave the away side a shock 2-0 lead before Lautaro Martinez got one for the hosts.

Venezuela weren’t going to let the lead slip as they scored a third, thanks to a penalty from Josef Martinez.
