Spurs transfer news: Tottenham have to spend big if they want to sign Barcelona’s Malcom

Duncan Castles had suggested that Tottenham are interested in Barcelona attacker Malcom.

The journalist added that Arsenal and Manchester United are also keeping tabs on the 22-year-old, and Marca have now claimed that Barcelona will allow the attacker to leave.

Marca (h/t Mirror) adds that Inter Milan are also interested in the winger and Barcelona want £60million for the former Bordeaux star.

Malcom has had a tough time since moving to Spain in the summer and only has three goals to his name in all competitions.

A huge price-tag for a struggling player

The Mirror adds that Tottenham were interested in the former Bordeaux man in the summer, and a last minute move from Barcelona saw them sign the attacker ahead of AS Roma.

Spending £60million on the 22-year-old seems a little excessive given that he hasn’t really performed all that well this season.

Tottenham would have to spend wisely in the summer as they look to strengthen the side. Spurs haven’t spent in two transfer windows but Daniel Levy recently stated that the club’s move to the new stadium would not hinder their transfer plans.
