Spurs transfer news: Tottenham interested in Real Betis midfielder Victor Camarasa
Marca (h/t Football.london) reports that Tottenham is the latest club interested in Real Betis midfielder Victor Camarasa.
The 24-year-old is on loan at Premier League strugglers Cardiff City. The report claims that should Cardiff be relegated from the top flight, Camarasa could leave the Bluebirds.
Neil Warnock’s men face a tough fight towards safety as they lie five points from 17th place Burnley with seven games left.
The report adds that West Ham, Leicester City and Everton are interested in the 24-year-old. Camarasa has a release clause of €24m in his contract, however, the report claims that Betis are willing to go down to €15m for the Spaniard.
Tottenham sold Mousa Dembele in the winter window and could do with another midfielder joining the side in the summer.
An impressive season despite Cardiff’s problems
It was always going to be difficult for Cardiff to stave off relegation, and they have just one win from their last four games.
Warnock’s side were unlucky to lose to Chelsea at the weekend, however, Camarasa was impressive as he gave Cardiff the lead in the second half.
The Spaniard has bagged five goals and three assists from 26 Premier League games this season, with four of these goals coming in his last 10 games.
The 24-year-old can play on the right of the midfield or as an attacking midfielder, and it will be interesting to see where he could end up once the season ends.
