Spurs transfer news: Tottenham submit bid for player who visited club’s facilities
Faro de Vigo (h/t Football.london) reports that Tottenham are looking to complete the signing of 16-year-old Celta Vigo youngster Yago de Santiago.
The report claims that Spurs have submitted an “extraordinary” offer to the teenager, who is free to leave the La Liga side in the summer on a free as he has not signed a professional contract yet.
Santiago has already visited Spurs’ facilities, according to the report, and Tottenham would be making a move in the coming months.
Spurs need to make signings in the summer
There is little known about Santiago currently, and he could turn out to be a quality signing in the near future.
Tottenham have to look at their current team too and the club has to spend in the summer window.
Spurs have gone two transfer windows without buying any new players, and have weakened the side a bit by selling Mousa Dembele in January.
Mauricio Pochettino’s men are in a fight for the top four spots with Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal all in the running.
