Spurs news: Tottenham plan for increasing attendances and explain why stadium wasn’t full against Crystal Palace

Tottenham are looking at measures to increase their match day attendances at the new stadium after nearly 3,000 seats were left unused in the 2-0 win over Crystal Palace, according to Sky Sports.

Son Heung-min and Christian Eriksen got the goals in the win and Sky Sports claims that 59,215 fans turned up for the game.

The figure was calculated using tickets scans, which is different from how other Premier League clubs record attendances.

The report adds that the maximum capacity in the stadium is 62,062, however, Spurs listed out several factors that turned down the number.

Segregation of home and away fans, television camera positions and some seating areas had not been opened till now.

The report adds that all tickets available were sold and Spurs are planning to open the premium-seating areas, the Sky Lounge.

Tottenham are also looking at reducing the number of seats lost for the camera positions.

Tottenham face huge clash in Champions League

The first game at the new stadium went off without a problem, and it will be interesting to see how we play against Manchester City next.

The crowd should be pumped up for this clash as we need to make the home leg count in the Champions League.

The Cityzens have been in brilliant form since the turn of the year and they already beat us at Wembley earlier in the season.
